The Dither Fish!
I know we all have our own choices of "dither" fish. Whats your personal favorite for our Loaches? Mine has to be the Rasboras and Danio's, with the odd Barb. Whats yours?
Graeme.

I used to have a school of 8 tiger barbs in with my clowns. The clowns seemed to like them and often the smaller clowns would school with them Now there are a school of rummy nosed tetras. These guys stay pretty small and school constantly.
With the yoyos I have there is a school of rummy nosed tetras, a school of neon tetras and a few black phantom tetras.
With the skunks I like giant danios and tiger barbs. They're big and hardy enough that the skunks to really mess with them too much.

with my dario, zebras and kubs I have neons...left over from my ex partner picking a cute fish.
with my yoyo and smaller darios I have rummy nose. I like the colour and schooling BUT they hang out at the bottom too much for my tastes.
In both tanks I also have hatchets.
In my other loach tanks I have no dithers.

I have praecox rainbows with kubotai, sids and pulchra.
I have golden white clouds and choprae danios in my two river tanks.
And, in my creek pool tank(hillstreams, gobies, bumblebee cats and V. maasai) I have brilliant rasboras.
In another tank I have chopraes with sids, schisturas and botia rostrata.

In one tank I have harlequin rasboros, neon tetras, serpae tetras, orange tail tetras and glass catfish in with yo-yos, clowns and kubotai. The other has no real dithers - 2 5" angels and 3 4" peacock cichlids in with 6 or 7 striata. The tank has lots of cover and they don't all ever come out at once
Cheers,
Kit.
