Clown loaches and cucumber??

Post by Jenny » Wed May 17, 2006 5:55 pm

My four Clown loaches go mad for the cucumber - is his normal or does it mean they are not getting enough of other food.

My plecos are not getting a look in :(

welcome to the forum...

clowns usually do eat cucumber, they like different things in their diet, mine eat zuccini and broccoli for fun sometimes. plecos usually go crazy for it, but it depends on what type of pleco you have, some are wood eaters and if there isn't wood we've got a problem... so any info you'd need about a pleco i can answer, but i'd need to know what type... thanks.

the "madness" is normal... they're excited, especially if they "click" or "suck" it's always a good sign, mine do it with lettuce! just don't feed too many veggies too often, they need a good mix (frozen, pellet etc.)
many tanks...

got to love my fat little wobbly wigglies...

I agree, that is definately a good sign; A good sign of health and an appetite.
