i've seen these histies before on the board and think they are amazing. my favorite botia btw but is there a regional difference in these fish. these do not look like the typical histironicas i see and have. where are they from ? nice photos too :)

They are looking fab, MD. 8) Am I correct in thinking these are the Ataran variants you got from us?

That first specimen has a wonderful 'T' shaped mark on its side. 8)

they're in really good nick mark, i'm with Andy on this one though, i think the ones caught in india are the better shaped fish with better defined pattern than the ones from ataran.
but saying that i too have the ataran sp as i coudnt get the others.

I am hoping to pick up a couple of normal histi's to go with these but the only ones available round here are tiny and not great looking fish to be honest so I will have to wait until I am on my travels again :)

I really wanted some histrionica myself, very nice fish. (Although I have no regrets getting the kubotai. :wink: )

Hi all , as far as i know Histrionica from India [Manipur] have'nt been imported ?
I think they are imported from at least two places in Burma !

I think Histrionica comes from at least 3 river systems in Burma ? but as far as i know the Manipur ones remain elusive at this stage :?:
