YOYO ID please and thanks

Post by J@CKSON » Sat Aug 02, 2008 12:06 pm

Hi until I get my photobucket to work I can only ask this. Do YOYO's have red fins? I bought 2 that are very big biggest I have ever seen. One is near the 6.5'' mark I have pix but have to wait to upload them. I have never seen them with red fins but the patern looks right but they are stressed so I am not sure.

Thanks

I've seen large 6"+ Botia almorhae with orangey coloured pectoral fins. The ones I am thinking of live with Helen now. Botia rostrata (another Indian species) also develop red fins as they mature. They are said to grow to quite a large size, but I have never seen one at 6.5".

Thanks Emma :)

I now know they are YOYO's. The have settled in and I can see their patern now. Here is a pic of them in the drip bucket. I will try and get some of them in the tank :)

Thanks
Edit-- Oh and te larger one is 6'' not 6.5'' sorry I took the tape to it :)
