I am a Belgian aquarist. Botia almorhae and Chromobotia macracantha (7 pieces of each) are swimming in one of the tanks of my fishroom for more than ten years. In the fishroom, they are on their own (the tank is about 500l). But as the years passed the fishes became really beautiful, and I now want to give them the tank in my livingroom (800l).
However, in this tank I don't want to hold them alone... but I don't know what fishes to hold with them : Danio's need cooler temperatures, Rasbora's don't like too big or boisterous tankmates, and Barbs mostly don't swim in the upper part of the tank (the idea is to have an Asian tank with the Botia's in the lower part, and a schoolfish in the upper part).
Can you give me advice ? Thanks a lot,
