NEW (old) Loaches

Post by newshound » Wed Jun 07, 2006 2:00 pm

well less then a week ago I got some new mature loaches.
2 large 5" modesta
3 skunks 2.5-3"
2 Robusta 3.5"
2 Leccontei or Sun 3-3.5"
I haven't had time to watch them much.
From what I have noticed is that the skunks are the wimps of the tank.
Next are the Robusta, above them are the Sun/Leccontei and at the top are the large modesta.
I am thinking of breaking up the tank into two groups if things are too nippy for the skunks and Robusta.
All of these fish came from a 120 that was over filtered and had these fish--
6 Clown loaches

The owner sold some of them and I think some of the loaches died. I bought the last ones. I find it impressive to see the big modesta swimming around. Nice looking and large!!! From what I can see they might even grow to 10"!!!! Yikes
