A reply is slow, and I'm sorry.
To exceed the barrier of the language, time was required.
Hi piggy4 , chefkeith ,Graeme , mistergreen , Jim , Laura
My best regards in the future.
Hi mickthefish
This kind of loach is not so common.
They live in the upstream and the middle reaches region in the river.
They like clean water and low temperature.
Hi wasserscheu
I have lot of information about several kinds of Stiphodon.
I will contribute to another forum for Stiphodon one of these days.
Please wait for a while. ......language barrier........
Hi Emma
I was able to be amused in a lot of photographs of you before. Thank you.
Their behaviour is very peaceful. Moreover, they are not fears.
Therefore, it is easy to take the photograph very much.
I post some more pictures
(1) Two Niwaella delicata
(2)Act of sucking alga on surface of water plant
(3)Act of sucking alga on surface of snail
(4)It is serious to lick the alga.
(5)Loach's beard is like to a worm that seems to be delicious.
(6)Look at the left! Look at the right!

Hi starsplitter7 , helen ,mack.
My best regards in the future.
Maybe, I think that it is Neritina variegata.
They live in the subtropics provinces in the southern part of Japan.
This snail was considerably long life.
It was alive in my tank for three years or more.
Site where it introduced shellfishes in southern part of Japan

The scientific name is an alphabet though Japanese Kanji character code might be not expressible with the PC.

Hi kimura.
Niwaella delicata live in the upstream in the river in Fukui, Toyama, Ishikawa, Nagano, Gifu, Siga, Mie, Osaka, and Kyoto.
It is the vicinity of the center part in the Japanese Islands.
I wish to express my gratitude for your consideration for the translation.
I am chiefly using the automatic translation of the web.
However, the translation is often strange.
I put thanks and present photographs of several further.

I am not used to English. Therefore,It is likely to sometimes misunderstand it.

Hi odyssey, fabulous pictures once again. Would you be interested in letting us host some of these photographs permanently on Loaches Online? We would make sure your name is credited to the photos. If this is ok with you, I will create a new entry in our species index for these, and will use your description of their behaviour etc as a basis for the text. Let me know what you think.
Many thanks,
Emma
Many thanks,
