yes, Henri, I think so. another male for shure in your pic-gallery ...
of course you should have at least one pair within 6 specimen.
what I wanted to say is: the darker one seems to be a female. as in gastromyzon it seems to be the stronger one and the slimmer is a male trying his chance to dominate. a "classic" situation!?
cheers Charles

Hello everyone, brand new to keeping loaches, but I'm hooked. Love this website, can't wait to start implementing some of the techniques I've been reading about. Just got my 20g planted aquarium set up with 4 juvenile clowns. I realize the tank is far to small, but for now it will have to do.

A story video about my Sewellia "Disturbing neighbours of a small Sewellia". They are almost everywhere! Seems there is no chance to stay alone. But... there is a place... :)

JonasBygdemo wrote:Our biggest clown have found a new way of getting more food. I don't know if this is common or not, but it's pretty cute! His hiding spot is at the edge of the root were there's a hole, and during feeding he darts out and grabs a tablet in his mouth and darts back in to the root. This is repeted until there's a small food-stash which he then devours.

And yeah, it's me playing guitar. I SUCK at soloing/leads, but my girlfriend (for some reason) thought that it'd be good background music, so without my permission she used that audio. I hope she burns in hell.

:D
He is really smart! It's gorgeous!
And the big snag is great. Loach so adroitly swims through the holes on 1:14min!

Here's a video of my Clown Loaches. In the early portion, it looks like a "pose-down" (one of those exhibitions that happens at body-building competitions). You'll see one my three, 20-yo Clowns "posing" on the top of a rock cave, then it turns around so you can see its other side. Then another of my 20-yo Clowns has to get into the act. In the last portion of this video (at about 1:30) you can see all of the Clowns -- three 20-yo Clowns on the left, and two smaller, newer ones on the right.

I'm providing the same video in two formats:

As .mp4

As .wmv
