oh believe me m8 i do take advantage of the idiot shops as i like to call them lol. its when they are giving bad advice about fish and such that it annoys me. like selling a tiger loach as a community fish the keeper should know its not a community fish and will attack the other fish in a community tank.. as for bargains ive had plenty due to there lack of knowledge and i defo wont be complaining about that. infact just today i bought 2 striata for £1.99 each cuase the keeper didnt have a clue what they was. he told me they were stressed clowns lol and at the mo clowns round here are £8.99 at about 1inch lol so i had me a nice bargain

On the other hand it is nice to come to a shop where they DO know what they are doing. One of my favorite stores is a bit of a drive, but it is worth it. It is the FAFS (Far Away Fish Store) (as compared to LFS)
They know me there, and I was chatting with the assistant manager, about Loaches, and he says he put some in this one tank, and no label, he was going to set up a tank at home, but knowing me, he would sell them to me....
Vailantella masaii. (If that is how it is spelled). Long, thin guys with the orange dorsal stripe.
I have seen them a couple of times in my tank since I got them, but they sure hide a lot!

38 tanks, 2 ponds over 4000 liters of water to keep clean and fresh.
Happy fish keeping!

This happens all the time in Sri Lanka. All loaches with stripes are Pakistani (yoyo) loaches here. I have bought, zebra, tiger, dwarf, histrionica, kubotai all branded and priced as Pakistani loaches. Works out cheaper for me. But finding loaches is hit or miss thing. The only loaches that they differentiate are clowns. So every time they get a shipment I have to go and check it out …..Just in case. I actually want to buy some yoyos now but the last few shipment of yoyo were not yoyos.
