Update on my clowns

Post by mary.burns3 » Thu Jun 29, 2006 2:00 pm

The new bigger 4 have really settled in over the last 6 weeks. I have been able to measure them, and one is 5", 2 x 4" and the 4th is shorter around 3.5" but very chunky, so maybe a growth spurt soon. They ate algae wafer/tablet food very quickly, getting up during the day to eat with my clowns. They were very slow for frozen/live food and often mine ate it all up, but at last they understand and respond to even the lid being opened, as quick as mine or you go without. Most of mine have had a growth spurt recently.

Beastie now has a trio of tiny clowns with him in another tank. I'm still thinking about keeping him seperate from the rest as his colour is so much better. He loves the new trio, small enough to not threaten him. He tries to get all the algae wafers pieces, by taking one, hiding it in corner, going back to get the rest, but the trio have caught on already and are quick to get some. The come up and eat with the angels so are getting a good varied diet. No hiding at all, as Beastie is a very confident clown and not skittish at all, and they are copying him.

This shows 8 of them, the biggest not there as he is under filter on right and not visible.
