Unfortunately, my spring break company shutdown is 2/3rds over and I cant not travel the next 4 days. Sorry Shari

If anyone in the midwestern United States area would like to meet the last week in June or the first week in July at the Shedd Aquarium, it would be great to meet you! The only reason I say the Shedd is because money and time is tight right now and that is the cloeset to me that i can swing with a minimum investment. I know Keith isnt that far from me (realtively speaking). Anyone in the area interetsted? Please respond or PM me.

Thanks!

Joe

Butterfly Valley

Post by Diana » Wed Apr 29, 2009 4:09 pm

I am planning a trip to Butterfly Valley, CA.
This is a natural area in the foothills near Chico (larger town, not really that close) and Quincy (smaller town, much nearer), that has a really large carnivorous plant population. Lots of great scenery.

Anyone want to meet up there?

My plans are to drive up very early Saturday, May 23, camp overnight (lots of campgounds nearby) and leave on Sunday, May 24.
So far my adult son Kevin is going and bringing his camera.

Most of the links that I could find are rather short on pictures.

Here is a link to a local aquarium plant club that went up there last year. Lots of photos.

38 tanks, 2 ponds over 4000 liters of water to keep clean and fresh.

Happy fish keeping!
