The layout of my tank 1

Post by SPARKYTHEWELDER » Sat Jan 31, 2009 9:52 pm

I have 3mm pea gravel in the bottom of my tank about two inches deep all across the bottom of the 55. I have also constructed a flat slate rock crop in the back and central portion of the tank and I have left room for my Hero cichlid which is a med level swimmer and feeder. In the far corner where the intake stand pipe is for my ehiem i have two plactic 34 in long plants, one is a fern and the other i dont know what it is suppose to represent but i needed some cover for the new malawi's from my three bigger fish, the hereo, my feather fin squeaker catfish, and my pleco. I have my new batch of malawi cichlids as well in the tank with my 3 Chromobotia macracanthus.

I have an ehiem 2028 filtration system hooked up with activated charcoal in the second level of the filter my water level is high in the tank and I have a coral light on top for light. I am need of finding out the ph and the hardness of the water and will do that next week on monday. If there are any other qauestions please feel free and to offer advise please be kind as i am a newbie. Thanks everybody for your help, friendship, and comradery too !
Sincerely
Sparky

Welcome Sparky. I have Africans and clowns too. In different tanks. I waited a long time to get clowns and did a lot of research. They are a great fish to keep and will entertain you for many years. Many many years if done right.
