just did a water change and found a little baby A. zonalternans! So happy!
I'm suprised it hadn't got eaten by my weather loach but it's about 1" with a faint black lateral line so i would guess it's about 1 month old?
The good news is that he's still alive and kicking. The great news is that i've found another one! This new one though is minute, probably only 2-3 weeks old looking at Micks babies photos. It's in a breeding net for now so i will get a pic in a couple of days without having to move everything to find him, plus he's way to small, even my young glowlight danios could eat him; i'm surprised he/she's lasted this long. He/she's on a diet of Red Astax Crumb and frozen cyclops now.
It's good to know that they are breeding on a regular(ish) basis.
I took this photo on my phone a couple of months ago when i released him into the main tank, about 1" in this photos, saw him last night when doing a water change, grown nicely!
My adult female looks like she's going to burst again!
I bought 2 females and 1 males originally and a few weeks ago i saw two males next to each other, similar size, must have bred when i moved them to the rio 180, i have 5 or 6 now.
