Pics - Botia Kubotai

Post by BotiaMaximus » Fri May 22, 2009 8:44 pm

I'm pleased to announce the addition of 5 Kubotai to my 75 gallon. These beautiful fish are a wonderful compliment to the Clowns and Striata. They are about 3.5 - 4" in length. There was a little mixing it up at first, but everyone has seemed to settle in now and all seems well in the tank. I added a new cave to accommodate the Kubs.

superb Keith, i'm another big fan of kubotai, for looks they have to be one of the most elegant of the botia if not THE most elegant.

Thanks Mick!! I agree, and they are scrappy too! Nobody is bullying these guys around - they can hold their ground for sure!

This could be love! :D :D :D :D

my big kubs are fairly placid. :)

Beautiful! I think kubs are strikingly beautiful. Nice rainbow fish, too.

Thank ya much Helen,

I'm quite fond of my new Kubs - interesting behavior, spunky like botia, like to hang out and pose like the serpentine types. Very nice fish!

These were obtained from a LFS, although I would like to give your new method a shot. Memorial Day here in the states and I'm off to a BBQ myself.
You bet I'm going to have my eyes out for any unwanted loaches! Plus I would never want to prevent a man from returning to his "inner guppy"
