That was cruel... I get all excited and boom $100 each - even I'm not that crazy or desperate!

WoW

Thanks Mick! At least I know what I'm in for. I hadn't expected to see some so soon if at all available in the US, took me by surprise. Thought maybe I could put together a tank for them quick but that price is out of reach for me at the moment.

I saw that I could get sids for $20 each, is that a normal price for them? I would love to have some.

Thanks!

The only Sids I have ever seen in this area were $17 each. I could never afford them.

At Frank's the SIds are 6 for $65. I thought that was a great price. I didn't calculate shipping and handling though. His quality and reputation are excellent.

That's even better - I cant remember where I saw them, just happy to see I could get them by mail since local obviously isn't going to happen.

When I move the grow-outs up, the 30 in my bedroom could make a nice permanent home for a small shoal of sids 10-12 of them I think would work. It's filtering 550gph (rated) it is handling a big load now with no troubles.

get them while you can. You might not see the likes of them for a while.

I just got a 75G tank but I'm going to keep it relatively peaceful, Just b. histrionica, rasboras and barbs.

They are certainly beauties, and rare as well. I would love to have some, but for their happiness would not consider having less than 5. A new tank setup plus 5 of them is just not wise use of funds in this economy. :( :(
