Salaween Clown Loaches

Post by Mike Ophir » Thu Jul 20, 2006 1:16 pm

Hi all,

Just thought I would mention that I think the Salaween/Tenasserim Botias are hitting the markets soon. I have seen some offered for sale online and am working on a deal to aquire a good group of these. Very interesting loaches in my opinion.

Best,

Mike

Definetly. From what I am hearing they are being sold/marketed as "Salaween Clown loach" or "Emperor Botia/Loach."

I will keep all of you updated. If I manage to get a hold on a bag of these, it will be in the next week or 2 and will post photos as soon as they are settled in.

Does anyone around NY want them?

I talked to my loach source here, and they seem to be available. If one-two more people want them I can try to convince the place to get them.

Is there a chance we on the forum could group order these and say, take 4 or 5 each?

This is exactly what I was asking. If there are a couple of people who would commit to 4-5, I think this can be done.

No.
....but I'm going to get our import company to ask the Thai supplier next week if they are able to get them. Last time I did that (for B. kubotai, before they became available over here) they kindly obliged and went over to Myanmar on a little fishing trip....I'm sure I probably told you about that before.

Anyways, I'll report back if I get an answer! :D

Toronto? I dont know if it is even legal to ship to another country. OTOH, if you are willing to drive to NY to pick up, this is a different story...
