clown loach are they nipers
hi guys
got 6 clowns loaches and 5 silver dollars.at feeding time 2 of my loaches almost atact the silver dollars and suck , nip , or bite them (not sure what they doing).some times on there eys to.
can any 1 explain this

In general, clownies are not aggressive towards other fish.
However, as with any other animal, there is a LOT of individual variation. Further, the more crowded/stressful the tank is, the more likely they are to lash out.
How large is your tank? What are your water parameters? Is the tank planted? How many hiding places are there?

6 clown loaches . they are +- 8cm
5 silver dollars . they are +- 7cm
the tank size is 1.2meters. got plenty of plant , caves and3 pipes.
i test the water at local pet store n they said it fine.
i feed them blood worms , shrimp ,snails , tetra min ( flakes ) and tetra prima ( like gravel )

Loaches are well armed and entirely capable of attacking and injuring other fish. Generally most species are not so pushy, though.
Have you tried feeding 2 types of food at one time? Try a sinking food to keep the Loaches interested in eating off the bottom, and a floating food to keep the Silver Dollars up higher in the tank.
I would add some fresh or lightly cooked vegetables to your food rotation.

38 tanks, 2 ponds over 4000 liters of water to keep clean and fresh.
