Or would they eat their slime coat off?

I have nine peaceful plecos with my seven lovely clown loaches living happily together. :D
Try all my efforts to keep my fish happy.

I have heard of this behavior from the Common Pleco and the Chinese Algae Eater. The most common victims are slow moving, flat sided fish like Angels, Goldfish, Gouramis and Discus.

I keep a Bristle nose with my Clown Loaches, and several other Loricariads with assorted fish including Angels, Discus and Gouramis with no problems.
38 tanks, 2 ponds over 4000 liters of water to keep clean and fresh.

Happy fish keeping!

Normal loaches are way too quick and alert to be attacked by plecos which are pretty docile anyway...it's the Chinese Algae Eater you should be worried about! They grow to about half a foot. The worst of course is the Candiru...

I've had good luck with "Rubber Lip" plecos. They don't grow large, maybe 4"-5" and they leave my plants alone.

I kept my yoyos with my bristles, until I got the new tank. There was no problems between them.
