Saw hillstreams for the first time...

Post by pedzola » Mon Jul 31, 2006 9:13 am

They had a whole bunch of little guys at my LFS. They were labeled butterfly plecos. They were dark w/small dense straiations.

They were sticking to the glass in a tank w/sand, a couple plants and unrelated fish, and not nearly enough water flow.

I tried to take a couple pics w/my phone but it just didn't work out.

I wish I had a place to put these little guys! Really cool lookin. :\

I remember reading somethin about how to get them off the glass, maybe w/a credit card or somethin? I go to this place a lot and I feel like they probably don't know how to properly detach them in case they sell any.

The sales kid I talked to did know they were hillstream loaches tho so I hope they also know enough to tell customers they require high flow rate in the tank......
