Looks almost like a Goby.
38 tanks, 2 ponds over 4000 liters of water to keep clean and fresh.

Happy fish keeping!

Hello Thomas,

I'm agree with Mick, this should be a smithi or tweediei. So or so nice loaches, I've also some of them. Eventually a mix of both species, but more smithi.

sounds a bit like I'm speaking to myself ;)

If the pectoral and pelvic fins overlap, they are most likely smithi.
If the fins don't overlap, they are most likely tweediei.

Hello,

Thank you very much for the answers.
We had a closer look at the pectoral and pelvic fins, and they do
overlap a bit, so we think they must be Homaloptera smithi.

If we ever get a better picture of them, I will show it to you.

Thanks again.

greetings Thomas

Hello Martin,

This is a very beautiful picture, is this one of your fish?

I had a look in the species-index, but I was not quiet sure, was it was.
But now with your picture I am sure it is a smithi.

Thank you

greetings Thomas

The picture is several years old. It was one of my fish.

Martin.

Hi Charles,

They are not my fish, they belong to a friend who lives in northern
Germany, I just helped him to identify the Loches.

greetings Thomas
