Today, for the first time since I've lived in Canada I managed to purchase 4 cute little Homaloptera orthogoniata.

In the bag.

I'm so stoked. These are absolutely my all-time favourite Hillstream Loach. Luv 'em, luv 'em, luv 'em.
They are only little at present, about 1.5 inches.

Menagerie Petshop, Toronto for anyone who wants some. Make absolutely sure you can provide the correct conditions for these jewels though.

Martin.

I don't need to tell you just how envious I am!! :D
Congratulations!! They are gorgeous!!
I think I am going to have to order some online from the invertzfactory if they are available again this year. I just can't find them otherwise. I have been thinking of converting one of my tanks just for them if I do.

Congrats Martin! I just got my first on Saturday, first time I've seen them. There seems to be a bunch going around here at the moment. My LFS gets them here I believe. Hve a look Jim!

Not sure if they're orthogoniata or confuzona but look like yours. Mine has been hiding since I got it so no pics yet.

OK, Martin, I'm envious of your loaches AND your camera skills. When can you come photograph my adorable beloved kuhlis?

Very nice looking fish!

I expect you will fatten them up nice and healthy :)

I would love to get some 'lizard fish' of any species.

Congrats on those great fish. I've been looking for a long time for those (or the confuzona) they are on top of the wish-list. I checked German stocklists right away, after your message. Only once I found some, but they were in a far too bad condition (and still expensive). Are they accepting any food already?
