Question re Paraguard Treatment Duration

Hi folks,
Since you all were so very helpful the last time I had tank problems, I knew where to come when I needed more info
I have some new clown loaches that came in looking thin. They are eating well and are active, but I'm pretty sure they have parasites of one sort or another. I am treating with Paraguard (as Cybermeez always recommended!), and have been looking for a reference on how long the treatment should last. Seachem says "continue unless fish show signs of distress", which could theoretically be infinitely. I've search the Loach Forum archives (including the old ones) but don't see any recommended duration of treatment. 3 days? 7 days? 14 days? What is the lifecycle of the longest-lived parasite that is likely to be in these guys?
