Botia Striata with Cichlids?

Post by MJW » Wed Apr 14, 2010 7:28 am

Hi all

I am planning Zebra Loaches for my 200l aquarium once the tank has been running a few more months.

Has anyone got any experience or advice on whether they would mix with small (relatively) peaceful cichlids, most likely Kribensis or Apistogramma Borelli.

Cheers
MJW

When Kribs are breeding they can get downright mean. Zebra Loaches can stand up for themselves, but probably not against breeding Kribs!
I am not sure how pushy Apistos can get.
38 tanks, 2 ponds over 4000 liters of water to keep clean and fresh.

Happy fish keeping!

Hi MJW,
Yep, I can only echo what Diana said, and also point out that B. striata would enjoy much more current in the tank than dwarf cichlids.
