Loaches in my 100 gallon tank

Post by zenins » Wed Jul 28, 2010 8:41 pm

Hi all,

Last night, my loaches were very co-operative and allowed me to take some photos, usually they hide after the first flash photo

I have 5 clowns, a Tiger, an Orange Fin Blue Botia, a Yoyo and a Histrionica.

The Yoyo and Histrionica stayed hidden for this session :?

The aquarium also has Severums, Denisoni and Spanner T Barbs along with some Characins and Rainbowfish.

Other bottom dwellers are two bristlenose plecos.

Here is a link to a slide show of 7 photos with descriptions ... enjoy

Oh, and I apologise for the gravel, that is what came with the tank when I bought it second hand

Really nice looking fish, zenins.

Have you thought about getting more Yoyo and a Histrionica?

I did have 3 larger yoyos, but there was too much competition for the bottom, so I gave them to a friend with a 125.
The 4th yoyo was quite small and I could not catch it, so I left it in my tank for now.
I bought the Histrionica at auction, but I have not seen any more any where. It is a good size at close to 15 cm ( 6 inches ) and usually is out in the open more than any of my other loaches. On this night of photos, it decided to hide in a log :?
