I kept V.euepiptera many years ago , and seeing these pics reminded me of them ? but I'm not certain as my fish seemed a little differently coloured ,more brownish with cream coloured markings ? its a long time ago ,possibly 20 years ! though I did have them on a dark substrait which could have given them a different appearance
Euepiptera was the first fish to come into my mind !

This is a tricky one! I am convinced these fish are different to V. cinnamomea (some of them look to have what could be described as 'tiger striping' across the dorsal surface), but looking at papers on both V. euepiptera and V. cinnamomea, they are quite difficult to differentiate. I will have to try for some decent shots of the anal fin to see how many rays these have.
