Loaches and brine shrimp

Can I buy the 16oz. frozen brine shrimp. Thaw it out and refreeze it in a iIce cube tray. Will the thawing out and refreezing make the food no good.
I don't want to kill or make sick my fish.

Where would you purchase 16oz of Brine shrimp? Like most or if all foods, Once defrosted, you don't refreeze.

You could grow your own, you know. They're fairly easy. Just need a dedicated place, light source, salt and brine shrimp naupli. Let em grow with a little time they become regular swimming shrimp suitable for fresh food.

Used to do it when I was raising angelfish. The other fish loved it when I let the naupli grow up and fed it to them.

You could also just buy brine shrimp in cube form made by Hikari.
It comes in a 3.25 oz package divided into 32 cubes.

I found the hikari 16oz onsale for 6.95 the cube way I am paying 3.95 for 3.5 oz. thats why I ask.I thought if you defrost you don't refreeze
just trying to save.

What shape is the frozen 16oz packet? I get 16oz packets of frozen bloodworms that come in a flat sheet a bit less than a quarter inch thick. I smack it on the counter to break it into pieces and put it back in the freezer without ever thawing it. That gives me smaller pieces to do individual feedings. Alternatively, you could probably use a knife to chop bits off. Sounds to me as though the price differential makes it worth it!
