Hi, I recently realised that I have had my Clown Loaches for 16 years (where did the time go?) but that they are probably a little older than that.
To work out their true age I need to know how old they were when I got them.
So how old would you say my loaches were when I purchased them at 1.5 inches please. One year?

Re: How old is a 1.5" Clown Loach?
Good question. I always wondered the same thing. My guess: Since they are wild caught and from a place that is seasonal (monsoon), I would guess the majority are less than a year. Probably 7-10 months. It also depends on how long they are kept in the pet store. However, I imagine that the growth in the pet store is very minimal considering the average conditions there.
120 gallon planted aquaponic tank with 10 clown loachs, first one since 1994, 1 modesta and 3 striadas.

I think the fastest way to find out their real age is to ask their previous owners.only up
