Collection Trip - Kodagu District, Karnataka, India

Post by nikhilsood1 » Fri Jul 29, 2011 2:44 am

Hello Everyone,

Just a small intro about me. I am Hobbyist and Native fish collector, explorer and commercial breeder of fish based in Bangalore. Here is a trip which happened at the start of this year, I know its a long time ago but I hope you all enjoy it.

People involved in this trip were me - Nikhil, Benjamin, Anja and Rajesh. It was more of a vacation to Coorg with a days collection planned. Coorg is the main Coffee production area in South India. Its about a 5 hour drive from Bangalore. We left Bangalore around 2a.m and reached the main gate of Nagarhole wildlife sanctuary at around 6a.m gates were still closed and the early morning entry guaranteed us seeing a bit of wildlife compared to later in the day. We were greeted by a group of the Indian Bison and saw wild dogs and chained elephants.

We there was no collection that day but collection happened the next day and here are pics from that. Apologies for the pics as there was no Photo tank in some cases.

Hi nikhilsood1. Welcome to LOL!

Thank you very much for the photograph of splendid fish.
They are very interesting!
The fourth hill stream loach is attractive for me in particular.
I am not used to English. Therefore,It is likely to sometimes misunderstand it.

Thank you so much for sharing. What beautiful fish.

Please share more pictures from more of your trips and if you keep them at home, please let us see how they look in your tanks.

Really lovely fish and pictures. Thank you.
