Coldwater loaches

Post by jcb46 » Fri Sep 23, 2011 12:11 pm

I'm searching for coldwater loaches.
I've found Golden Dojo Loaches (Misgurnus anguillicaudatus).
Someone has an idea of what kind of loaches could live in a non-heated fish-thank?
I have three weather loaches that I like to watch.
I would like to explore.
Thank You

As far as I know, the dojo loaches (both the regular brown speckled type and the goldens) are the only coldwater loaches available. That's not to say there aren't others, I just haven't heard of any. Weather loaches are so much fun to watch, though, and I think you can combine the goldens with the regulars for variety. You might want to Google "coldwater aquarium loaches" and see what comes up.

A lot of the hillstreams seem to enjoy cooler water (60's), if you can provide them enough current.
