Dear Sweetysmum I'm so very sorry for your loss. This is a very sad thread, but as someone who always searches for a cloud's silver lining I feel it is also a tremendously enlightening and encouraging one.

I feel sure this thread will give hope and inspiration to many people aiming to give their Clown Loaches long and successful lives.

I feel sorry and inadequate that I was unable to give any practical advice. I know very little about fish ailments but I feel it is likely your fish reached the end of her natural life.

It seems to me that here was a fish very well cared for who not only reached her potential life span but showed us all what is possible.

To me that gives great heart.
6 x Clown Loaches all 30 years of age on 01.01.2024, largest 11.5", 2 large females, 4 smaller males, aquarium 6' x 18" x 18" 400 ltr/90 uk gal/110 US gal. approx.
