Spotted sand loach ??????

Post by sschind » Fri Sep 14, 2012 6:48 pm

I purchased these from my wholesaler who had them listed a spotted sand loaches. I was thinking at the time they may be one of the acanthocobitis species but I am not sure. They are about 4 inches long and look quite robust.
Any ideas

Yes, it is a Cobitis. Maybe it is the undescribed Taiwanese species that is sometimes in trade last few years.

Thanks, I know it's not always easy to pin a species down but I like to get as close as I can when I sell something.
