Botia Histrionica Breeding?
Anyone managed to breed these or at least had them show signs of spawning?
I'd be interested to hear how people have attempted to do this. How would a tank setup be? as close to natural habitat as possible or a bare dark tank?
Please tell us if you have had any success!

The only breeding I am aware of has been in hormone induced.

Ah thats rubbish! lol
I guess that it must have been attempted though?
I might have to make it my mission in life to get them to spawn.....

I have heard that other botiidaes have spawned in aquariums when placed in large tanks with large numbers of the same species. The spawns were incidental and were not repeated so it was not determined what the spawning triggers were.

This area of Florida is the tropical fish capital. Many of the farmers assure me that breeding is closely related to temperatures. Hit the right temp, and the breeding happens. But to get clowns (I know you are talking about Histies), they use hormones.
