The AciaNet Image uploader no longer works ...

Post by Dojosmama » Fri Nov 16, 2012 2:29 pm

It was working beautifully before, but here's what keeps happening, now:

I click on "select files", and my computer browsing page comes up as it should.

I select the photo I want to upload, and its file name appears in the loading strip -- again, as normal.

I resize as I previously did by typing the number of pixels in the resizing strip, then I click "upload".

It goes through the motions of uploading with the green candy-cane loading strip moving along as usual. The percentage of uploading shows in the file strip as it progresses, until it reaches 100%. This is as it has always done. There's a brief pause before the preview page normally comes up. This is where things cease to function.

Now, the preview page never comes up, and instead a message in a yellow strip above the browsing strip says, "No image was uploaded."

This has been happening consistently for the last three times I've tried.

Prior to that, there was one time when the preview page did come up, but the picture only uploaded partway, then stopped, despite it having indicated on the first page that the upload was 100% complete.

Anyone else having trouble with this program, now? I haven't done anything differently than I did when it was successful.

Thanks for the alternative link.

I am wondering if it may be IE8 ... I'm going to try AciaNet in Mozella Firefox and see if it will work there. I have Firefox 12, so it should support it. Funny, though, it worked before in IE8 just fine.

If that doesn't work, I'll try the new link.

Thanks again.

I think it is a internet browser issue. I've had the same thing happen on my own computer, except I forget which browser it worked with and didn't work with. I think I ended up using Google Chrome browser in the end.

Marisol, I think you are looking for the "off topic" forum. Go to the board index and post your statement there, please. This is the loach forum.

Mods, please move this.

Thanks -- dojosmama

I just deleted three of those. That seems to be the popular way to post SPAM these days.
