Hey Everyone,
I just received in some new loaches to my hillstream tank. I received some Sewellia cf beventralis, but they don't look like any Sewellia I have seen. I am thinking they might possibly be Beaufortia because I have not had that fish before and these are quite large. The body shape is pretty close to Sewellia, but the patterns look nothing like any of the Sewellia "sp" I see on Seriously.
I made a crappy phone video, so excuse the jerky quality and my babbling to myself. Any guidance would be appreciated.
The fish in question can be seen at: .35 .45 2.00 2.20 on the clock.

Re: Loach ID Help
Once again Allen, I just love that setup. And the mix of species is impressive!! I am envious of the Vaillantella, H. confuzona and bilineata. I haven't seen them for years!
As to the species in question, I would agree they are probably Beaufortia. They certainly are very nice specimens, too.
Keep the videos coming!
