Homaloptera bilineata or Homaloptera confuzona
Wanting to add 6 of these to my 75 gallon tank. If you have had one or both, which would you get again?
Thank you for your info and help.

Re: Homaloptera bilineata or Homaloptera confuzona
I've only kept h. confuzona of the two. Great fish! I find homaloptera sp. a bit fragile. In communities with more aggressive fish they'll lose the food competition. I feed mine with a turkey baster to keep them healthy. Looking at your two 75s they might have trouble? The one with serpenticobitis & schistura might be the better of the two? Others may have different experience.

I would agree with plaalye's comments.
I have only had confuzona but I imagine being so closely related, bilineata would be very similar.
Confuzona are great fish but can be difficult to acclimate. They seem to either thrive or just fade away over time. I must say I am envious that you even have the choice. Its been years since I have had confuzona and I am always looking.

And bookpage, keep us posted on how yours do.
Thanks! I don't have that much room for many right now so I am a bit reluctant to order and pay shipping costs from someplace that far away. I'm hoping to find them locally and have put out the word to my favorite lfs.wetspot has them both Jim.
And bookpage, keep us posted on how yours do.

My six Homaloptera confuzona (Lizard Loach) arrived Friday evening along with six Sinibotia pulchra (12-banded Chinese Loach). Could not get a good picture of the confuzona. They are all eating and seem to be adjusting fine to their new home.
