New loach tank?

Post by Lineo » Wed Jun 19, 2013 4:14 pm

I decided to register to the forum, because I got an idea for a new tank. I have an empty ~160g (U.S. g), 98" *24" *16" aquarium, and I think it would be a nice hillstream tank? :) Temperature would be 68F - 74F. I'd like to set up pretty powerful stream, but I'm not sure, how powerful pumps would I need. Would theoretical circulation 2500 gallon per hour be too much at first? I don't think I get enough circulation with that kind of system: http://www.loaches.com/articles/images/ ... ank_01.jpg
Maybe those stream pumps which they use in marine aquariums would be better, how do you think?

Gravel to bottom and lots of stones. One BIG driftwood, and some moss species growing on the stones and branches. I have not thought fishes yet, only tank setup. :) What kind of fishes / loaches would you put to that kind of tank?

Hope you understood my poor english.
