New home for my beloved loaches

Post by jackieb4153 » Thu Dec 10, 2015 7:36 pm

I am looking to re home my clown loaches. I have 9 and 8 of them are approximately 20 some years old. They are in good health and I live in the Philadelphia area.

Well done on getting them to 20+ years old. I have been trying to locate fellow keepers with 20+ year old Clown Loaches (still alive) without very much success.

I remember seeing your previous posts offering them up and about your battles with water quality.

Such a shame you are having to let them go I hope you have success in finding them a home.
6 x Clown Loaches all 30 years of age on 01.01.2024, largest 11.5", 2 large females, 4 smaller males, aquarium 6' x 18" x 18" 400 ltr/90 uk gal/110 US gal. approx.

Heyheyhey! I'm in mifflinburg pa and I certainly wouldn't mind the addition of your clowns with my family. Mind are much younger, about 1-4 years. My tank size is only a 180 gallon at the moment, but once we get moved into a new house, I'll be upgrading to a 250. Currently, they would be right at home in my tank, as all but a few of my guys hail from the Mekong river basin area, etc. Hnnngggg let me know!
I liek feesh. And yes, I drew that xD

Hi thanks for the reply! Please lmk when you move into your next home. I'm happy to hear you'll have a 250 gallon tank. That is the just the size tank I wanted for my gang. I know all of this will take time, moving, and most importantly establishing the new tank. I'm in no hurry but please lmk when you're ready.

Well that could be a while... The house I was eyeballing was just nabbed off the market 2 days ago apparently. But that tank is going to happen as soon as I get a floor that I can trust to support the weight lol. But I have to have at least a 250, considering the size my black shark is bound to reach. A 300 would be nice, but not sure I'm going to be able to find one with out selling my organs around here. Also, dear God forgive me for the typos. I'm still getting used to typing on a tablet.
