Amazing fishkeeping redshark1.
It must be a great feeling to experience this. Your story always motivates me to take care of my clown loaches as long as it's in my abilities.
So many things can happen during such a long period of time that it seems impossible from my perspectives.
Well done to you. What a lucky bunch clown loaches.

Thanks a lot for your comments.

My Clown Loaches come second in my priorities only to my immediate family.

What do you typically feed your 22 year old clown loaches?

Hi, thanks for your question.

8am feed:
1 Cube of frozen bloodworm, thawed and rinsed and spread around the aquarium (by myself and partly by the water current).
1 level teaspoon of JMC catfish pellets spread around the aquarium.
20 freeze dried Gammarus shrimp, soaked for 15 mins in hot water and spread around the aquarium.

6pm feed:
1 level teaspoon of Tetra Prima spread around the aquarium.

I do change the diet around occasionally but this is what they get most days.

The fish spend a lot of time searching for their food around the aquarium. This gives them an activity and also shares out the food effectively.

I have always limited the amount of food and never been generous with it. Initially this was to preserve water quality. I have found they actually need very little.

Many thanks,
Steve.

Thanks for the information.

What temperature do you keep the clowns at?

I appreciate all the information, when you have someone that has had 22 years of success with clown loaches I think you should learn as much as you can from them.
