Weather Loaches

Post by LunaCat » Sun Jan 22, 2006 3:39 pm

Well I can tell you that the do sense changes in the weather. Mine started going crazy last night. They were darting everywhere. All the other fish dove for cover. Then this morning it started thundering, flashes of lightening , which is a very rare occurence here in Honolulu  , and a nice heavy downpour. They were more settled this morning. I guess they wore them selves out. Just thought I would share.

Yep, I believe that is due to the way their swim bladder expands or shrinks according to a drop in barometric pressure..not exactly sure but thats what Ive heard.
