How many clown loaches?
How many full grown clown loaches can be kept in a 110 gallon tank with a common pleco and geophagus(if any)?
My loaches:

Here's how it should be done........

Now get this in scale right?.....the two big fish near the centre are 10.5" and near 12"......and you can't see the ends of the BIG tank.
Before they went into the tank....check the ruler

I've seen these fish in the flesh. No trick shots, no photoshop....they're BIG
Martin.

one way to source (old) large tanks is to join those predatory fish forums... people in these forums get large tanks coz they keep large catfish, arowanas, cichlids that normally hit 1-2' in a year or two...
a lot of times people have to continually upgrade their tanks, so you might be able to find large tanks in this manner?
i wouldn't recommend people from this forum from searching for "loaches" in their threads though... you might see some loaches in african cichlid territory...
i keep my loaches in a 125... most of the time you'll see a big tank with 10 tiger barbs... very empty feeling... even if clowns can get to 12", im not sweating it, there's still plenty of time for me to upgrade, as the largest is only a bit more than 5", and unless you bought the clowns from another fishkeeper, chances are your clowns are gonna be smaller than mine, so you have more time to plan for an upgrade...

i think what people are saying is that 110 is not an ideal size to keep clowns till they're 12"... 125 may also be insufficient for clowns that size... what i was trying to say was that even though that may be the case, you still would have a few years to plan that larger tank... just my personal opinion... but i might be biased, because it is relatively easy to source larger tanks where i come from, since a lot of people keep large predatory fish...
