Definition of "loach"?

Post by Mike_Noren » Tue Oct 10, 2006 6:19 pm

Just curious - what is considered a loach?

As far as I can tell, it's any species from the families Cobitidae and Balitoridae? Is that correct? Or are the other families in the superfamily Cobitoidea (Catastomidae & Gyrinocheilidae) also considered loaches?

You were right first time. Cobitidae and Balitoridae only.
