Welcome to the new Loach Forum at Loaches Online - The forum for the very best information on loaches, based on our membership's vast experience.

The loach tank is a complex habitat that is subject to variations in temperature, local water chemistry, local availability of species and chemical treatments, and numerous other variables. We will make our best effort to answer any and all serious questions about loaches and their care, or to direct you to services in your area.

We encourage forward and innovative thinking and are eager that the membership should discuss such things. Everyone's fishkeeping style may be slightly different due to various factors and this we encourage. However, there are certain elements specific to Loach care that we uphold on this site. Posts that encourage and advocate care principles that are known to be detrimental to loach health will be discussed, corrected, edited, modified or removed at moderator discretion.

Please refer to the full membership rules linked at the top of this forum.

Thanks,

Jeff Shafer

Hi.....
I'm new here and I cme from Indonesia which have many island incl. Sumatera and Borneo.
Very sorry my english not good.
That's a very faboulous site.
That's very ironic cause I live in Indonesia and we have many sources for tropical fish including Botia.
I could get good article to improve my knowledge about botia.
I hope we could share our knowledge from this site.

Thanks

What a Great site. I am setting-up a Loache community tank(river) and look forward to any advice and help I can get to make it a healthy and happy tank. I hope to keep Hillstreams,Kuhli and Pakistani in groups of six and have three or four other exotic Loaches depending on what is available locally.

Hi to everyone on this site.
Great site just as everyone said. Im a great lover of Clown Loach and just got 2 new babies! Garfield and Heathcliff (2 childhood orange and black striped cats lol).
They really are charecters and are sucj fun to watch. Had a few probs getting them onto the food but they now mostly have fat little tummys full of bloodworm and loach pellets, veg etc. Not too keen on cucumber.
