I think if you read the whole thread, especially the comment from Heliophobe whose opinions I respect, you'll see things in a different light.

I read the whole thread KK. He clearly does know how to keep fish, yet a bare bottom tank? So many fish...even with his overfiltration...and the combo?

Scary.

But they are his fish...
books. gotta love em!

The owner of that tank is Neoprodigy. He is the owner/site admin. of Monsterfishkeepers, AquariaCentral, and a few other fish sites.

He's a knowledgeable and decent person, but I guess he just doesn't know anything about clowns loaches and that they prefer shelter.

I'll see if I can talk some sense into him.

I think there's absolutely no doubt this guy has seriously got the technicalities of maintaining large aquaria down pat, but has zero idea of ethics or plain common-sense. It's clearly a case of someone with more money than sense.......and no idea of aesthetics or fish's psychological requirements.

Or a blatant disregard for most of the above.

He's an idiot. Period.

That tank is big enough for maybe 1/12th of those fish fullgrown.

Not to mention that it looks like a tank at the worst kind of LFS... The guy's a greedy idiot. Regardless of good filtration whatever. crapp.

As far as I'm concerned, most of the people on Monster Fishkeepers just turn the hobby into an aquatic p*ssing contest. This guy's just trying to up the ante.

I find it all quite childish actually.

I agree with you all. I'm quite sad to see all those clown loaches in a feeder fish type set-up.

I agree with you there. I find a lot of the 'big fish' folk kind of get into that. "I have a 200 gallon"

Well I have a THREE hundred gallon

You only have ONE peacock bass?

I feed MY fish 1 kilo of food per day etc etc..

This guy here is what I call the 'how much can I fit' type of fish keeper. More concerned about cramming every last possible inch of fish into a tank than anything else...

It looks like a really cruddy holding tank at a trans-shipper or something...

Why you'd want that in your home for any reason I dont know... Why not have just a couple of dats and a syno or two...

Datnoids are the most personable and lovable of fish- but they get massive and need space and love... not to be crammed like a can of anchovies

Instead of all this very childish whining and name calling why don't all of you contact neo and give him some sound advice?
