Feeding Frenzy pics.....
....actually, BEFORE feeding and with Cucumber
This is a 125g tank viewed from the end, just for some size reference. Emma, do any of these give you a good enough side view of Albert????
First they beg REALLY Cute and Sweet
Then they get insistant
and once they've gotten some Cucumber they dive right in
Is this a "normal" head shape??? I call it my Dolphin

Great pics, mamaschild. It is still a little difficult to tell, but from those pics, Albert does not look as tall in the body as Marge does. So maybe 'he' is a 'he' after all. How tall would you actually estimate him to be? Because the pics are taken slightly from above, it makes it harder for me to estimate his height.
Lovely pics all the same!

Albert is of similar proportions to my large male Stripes, then. Stripes is between 10.5 and 11" long and about 4" high. Whereas Marge is between 11.5 and 12" long and more like 5.5" high. With not too much difference in actual length between my two, the body height and shape is completely different so they are clearly male and female. So I reckon Albert is Albert, and not Alberta!

HAHAHA....yep, it was the only thing I could find in the kitchen small enough, but still heavy enough If they get it off the fork, I take the fork out, or reattach it if the Cuke is still floating.
The loaches tend to eat out the center of the Cuke and leave the ring, so I allow them a few hours to do that, then remove what's left. By then they've pretty much stopped munchin' on it, so that's a way to tell when to remove it, too
