whoa! round here I can get 2 for $6. G. ocellatus, stellatus, scitulus, ctenocephalus...and when I mentioned that I did not want the smaller ones the guy didn't charge me for them...so I got 7 for $12.

Post a pic if you can.

Price depends on what nationality $ you're talking about. Which country?

$13 sounds way high to me whatever the country.
As regards the fish being from Borneo or not, we would have to know the species to say.

Check the species profiles for ID:
http://community.loaches.com/species-index

Look at Gastromyzon, Beaufortia and Sewellia species.

As regards it "liking" your tank, have you read this?

"round at the ends and hi in the middle"...you must be from Ohio?
Well, here in the neighboring state of Indiana, "Borneo Suckers" tend to be priced around $6 also, except for Sewellia which run about $11.

hmm. I think I got ripped off...
It was advertised as a borneo sucker... But it looks just like a regular chinese Hillstream (Beaufortica).

I'm in cincinnati. It's the only place that i've seen a Hillstream... if i was to order one, it would cost the same (price, S&H)..
Oh well..
