Strange Gastro

Any idea what I saw today?

No camera since I was not planning on looking at or getting any fish...but perhaps the description would work.

It is probably a Gastro, with dot pattern like G.cteno, but
1. Very large, probably 2".
2. Very light color (white dots on very light gray)
3. No color whatsoever in the tail or dorsal (no red, no blue).

Was in a mix of mostly normal cteno's, a couple of ocellatus and stellatus.

One possibility is that old Gastros lose their color?

(Darn...the fish looked very nice...very meaty...and no qtank available right now.)
