Is G. ridens redescribed? In OD of G. ridens it has 56-78 scales in lateral series and truncate snout.

Without looking at the paper (yet), I would guess that the type series of G. ridens consists of more than one species. It is not inconceivable that the paratypes of G. ridens from Sarawak are not conspecific with the holotype (56–78 scales seems an unusually high variation and one would suspect that there is more than a single species involved).

Anyone got the paper yet? I agree that the variation on scale # of ridens are a bit high [but not impossible and depend on many factors, and there might be similar problem for G. aeroides too], but any other character to separate it from the new species?

Just got mine from Bagrusdude and I agree, it IS very interesting.
I wonder if any of these newly described species (particularly scitulus) have already shown up on the market?

I'm thinking one of mine is a scitulus. I also think Martin might have some too.
