Hello All,

... want to use this thread to point out my appreciation to the team of LOL.

LOL´s internet presence is simply special and second to none - period.

... coming back to "picture-id´ing" loaches, do you mean somemthing like this on the following site?

http://www.schmerlen.de/galerie.html

You get there via this link: http://www.schmerlen.de, clicking the grey "Galerie" button on thel eft of the screen.

By clicking one of the miniature pic´s, you get to a summarizing description of the fish, in German.

You find the Latin Name in the upper table - 4th column - 2nd row (= "Art" in German)

By the way I´ve some pic´s on loachtank and I´m just a generic user, enjoing LOL. As long as some commercial postings can help financing it, it´s the better option for me, rather than paying a membership fee, or similar (... I don´t want to "wake any sleeping dogs" - as we say in German - but I would even pay a fee, for what LOL has to offer.)

Cheers

Wolfram

That's kind of it, but it can be and should be more structured than that IMO.
The user should be able to home in on the correct ID by progressive stages. Doing it right is what takes the work.

Martin.
Image Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

More OT comments.
Can I propose a ban on blue or red text in the forums? It hurts!

that any better Ken?

...and thanks Hellen
That's better.
Cyan is even better than orange but I think the best alternative is using BOLD TEXT
