What else should I feed my sids?

Post by Basil » Fri Nov 16, 2018 8:58 am

They are eating Hikari algae wafers. And I *think* they are eating the thawed baby brine shrimp. Didn’t realize those things were so tiny. So after I thaw them and syringe them into the tank, I do see the sids get more active and start rooting around the substrate and rock and plants.
I also have Ocean Nutrition Thera plus micro pellets.
They don’t dive at the food but definitely seem to be eating. I have one smaller one but I don’t think he is particularly skinny, just small.
So any other kinds of food? I admit I’m not experienced in feeding anything else but flakes!
Oh, and the sids have been in the quarantine tank for a week today. :D

My sids were never fussy about foods. Flakes, tablets, pellets; any & all were all good. Last time I kept them I had 9 or 10 tanks & offered many choices. They never seemed super enthusiastic about frozen brine shrimp or veggies of any kind. Chopped frozen bloodworms were ok, whole seemed a bit too big, but they nibbled at them.
