Khuli loach query
I am about to get 3 pangio pangia for my 15 gallon, but I'm worried they'll jump. It is an open topped tank. Are they prone to jumping?
Re: Khuli loach query
Any fish may jump. It may help if you have floating plants so they can have an idea of the tank's upper limits.
I kept pangios in a 10g & then a 20g long, both shallow tanks. But I also had many plants that some liked to hang out in near the surface. I had no jumpers.
It's not a matter of loach size either, I had tiny 1 inch lepidocephalichthes (sp?) that jumped from a 16 inch tall tank...but not many tall or floating plants.
3 loaches are not the best number to keep, they prefer more of the same species. Will this be a species tank? Or do you plan other fish too? While not ideal, I'd keep 5 or 6 pangios but not much else. Maybe a few cherry shrimp.
